Solar Phoenix
He/Them (Anthro), They/It (Feral)


Born from the same raging crucible that gives birth to the stars in the night sky, phoenixes are part bird, part sun. As these proud avians roam through the cosmos, they shine their light onto countless worlds and share their warmth with the lucky inhabitants. These near-immortal firebirds are the eyes, ears, and messengers of their parent stars; born not to conquer, but to explore and study. In their pursuit of knowledge, phoenixes inevitably become keepers of the sciences and arts alike, sharing and spreading the traditions and insights of cultures amongst themselves and across the cosmos. They traverse the endless voids between suns so that they may bestow their boons onto any peoples they encounter, to bring enlightenment and peace to every corner of the universe.


Arios is just one of these birds, one of many solar phoenixes. Its home is a small sun many thousands of lightyears away, what earth astronomers call an orange or K-type dwarf. Despite having roamed the cosmos for many aeons already, it and its sun are still young, with many billions of years left to explore, study and spread their warmth.

A brilliant engineer and slightly unhinged tinkerer, Sey has gained quite the reputation in the field of cybernetics. From implants to body armor to weaponry, this osprey has an entire arsenal of futuristic equipment at their disposal. Ever the thrill-seeker, Sey isn’t just content with making and selling their inventions - they are also the first to try them out in practice. More often than not, that means 80s action-movie style combat and shootouts, usually at breakneck speeds.


Besides working on new tech in their lab, they tend to spend their time by going fishing (both with a rod and osprey style), forging personal connections to support their antics, or hanging with Arios, both to study the strange solar visitor and to show him around this world. Somehow Sey has become Arios’ main point of contact to this worlds society, for better and for worse. The amber talisman they wear around their neck is proof to that; a gift by their phoenix friend, it provides them with warmth and improved health - and lord knows they can use that.
